The National Contact Point of Portugal (“NCP”) functions as a promoter and implementer of the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises (‘Guidelines’). It analyzes issues of interpretation of the Guidelines and acts as a mediator in conflicts between the social partners. It may make recommendations regarding the application of the Guidelines whilst safeguarding the confidentiality of proceedings.
