Using the Complaints Mechanism

'The OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises: Recommendations for Responsible Business Conduct in a Global Context' is a guide to help trade unions to use the 2011 OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises in their workplaces and in their campaigns to defend workers’ rights and improve living and working conditions. The chapter: 'Using the Complaints Mechanism' deals with the OECD system of National Contact Points (NCPs). It describes the complaints process of an NCP and provides a check-list for submitting complaints as well as a diagram that helps trade union representatives to assess whether a particular complaint is eligible for handling by an NCP under the OECD Guidelines.
