Toronto 2013 workshop report: “Business Impacts and Nonjudicial Access to Remedy: Emerging Global Experience”

This report summarizes the main points discussed at an Expert Workshop entitled “Business Impacts and Non-judicial Access to Remedy: Emerging Global Experience”, convened by the Working Group on the issue of human rights and transnational corporations and other business enterprises and held in Toronto, Canada, on 29 and 30 April 2013. The workshop was co-organized by the Canadian Office of the Extractive Sector Corporate Social Responsibility Counsellor and supported by the Government of Canada. The present report informs the Working Group’s work on access to remedy and outlines areas for further research and consideration by practitioners.
